Angel Tree conceived by Salvation Army in year 1979 by Mayor Charles dan Shirley White when their walking on Shooping Center in Lynchburg, Virginia that supply of clothes and toys for children on Christmas day.
The name of This Program was intoduced when White Family want to know the wishes of children in a way the children writing on card as pictures of angels. And then Put in card on The Tree at Mall, so, every costumer can choose a gift and gived to the children. Big thanks to WHites Family, at the time assigned by Salvation Army at Lynchburg which from this program ANgel Tree more than 700 children to chirtsmas celebrate more joyful.
3 Years later. When, Whites Family moved to Nashville, Tennessee, Angel Tree comeback and release at Music City. Radi WSM, broadcast program at Grand 01 'Opry, at once be first the co-sponsor Angel Tree in United States of America.
Because of Promotion on-air at WSM in Nashville, and national publicity at CNN and Larry King Show, This News about Angel Tree spread to all contry. This Program covers Angel Tree in Shopping center, Company, Church adn organitation. Since that, all public support this Program Angel Tree The Salvation Army.
